This is a miniature horsehair Native American made, very tightly woven basket.

The basket weaving pattern was done in a traditional light tan and brown horsehair coiled fine design with a star pattern. It measures just a little over 1 inch across.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to find miniature horsehair baskets of quality from either Arizona or New Mexico states as we believe the Art of Horsehair Weaving is a dying art among the younger Native Americans. {sku 1176}
